B Where it sitsPlayable and fair, with a hole you can see from orbit

Once a great knight to a king, left fighting the abyss until his soul was no longer his own. His attacks are wide, slow and dodgeable, which is exactly what makes him interesting to play against.

Power

Dark Severance

Charges a horizontal slash that can be dodged by crouching, gaining movement speed during the build-up, and damages more than one survivor. Cooldown 25 seconds, end lag 2.8 seconds.

Abyssal Burst

A long windup that sends a burst of corruption across the whole map. Survivors hit are highlighted and slowed 40% for 5 seconds. Cooldown 25 seconds.

Personal perks

Corrupted Path Level 15

Hitting a survivor makes them release a corrupted trail that slows anyone touching it by 7% for 20 / 25 / 30 seconds.

Abyssal Covenant Level 30

When a generator reaches 50% progress there is a 30 / 40 / 50% chance it corrupts and explodes, removing 5 charges per survivor working it. Four times per match, once per generator.

Shadow Trace Level 45

Your intent radius is nonexistent for the first 30 / 45 / 60 seconds. Spiking a survivor grants Undetectable for 20 seconds.

How to play it

Do not open with Dark Severance against anyone who knows the game, they will simply duck and you eat 2.8 seconds of end lag. Use it on survivors locked into repairing. Fire Abyssal Burst from range to soften someone on a generator before the chase starts, and use it on a slow vault to guarantee the follow-up.

How to beat it

Crouch through the slash windup, you can no longer crouch during interactions, so commit early. Never group up for a body block or a save; the slash hits all of you. If Abyssal Burst lands and you are slowed, go straight to the nearest vault or pallet rather than trying to outrun it.

Where it sits

Playable and fair, with a hole you can see from orbit

The only basic kit that can hurt two survivors in one swing, and Abyssal Burst slows anyone it catches 40% from anywhere on the map. Both attacks are slow enough to crouch or walk out of, so the damage only lands on survivors who are already committed.
